Alfred Heaton Brown

The birth of Alfred Heaton Brown is unknow and we also know

less about him.

What we know: he was born at Blackpool. He joined the

Royal Fusiliers Public School Battalion in September 1915,

and seen service in Belgium and France. He went to

Guillemont were he have been wounded and went to a

hospital.

When he return, he fought in Belgium during the Battle of

Passchendaele. During the attack on October 9, 1917,

he died at Condé House, north of Poelkapelle,

during the Battle of Poelckapelle.

His body never been found and he is commemorated on

the Tyne Cot Memorial panel 29.

Wanneer Alfred Heaton Brown werd geboren is niet zeker. We

weten eigenlijk heel weinig van hem.

Wat we wel weten is dat hij geboren werd in Blackpool.

Hij zich voegde bij de Royal Fusiliers Public School Battalion

in september 1915 en zag dienst in zowel België als ook in

Frankrijk. Hij werd gewond in Guillemont tijdens een artillerie

aanval. Hij werd overgeplaatst naar een hospitaal.

Na z'n terugkeer werd hij in België ingezet in de

Ieperboog. Hij vocht tijdens de Slag om Passendale en

werd gedood op 9 oktober 1917 nabij Condé House,

ten noorden van Poelkapelle, tijdens de Slag om

Poelkapelle.

Zijn lichaam werd nooit terug gevonden. Zijn naam word

herdacht op het Tyne Cot Memorial op paneel 29.
